Unstable Boost

After taking a friend of mine for a run (Set Boost to 14.5 PSI) he told me that my boost doesnt seem to be stable. I couldnt say if this was true or not because i couldnt feel it.

So I try to use the graph (SBC-ID Blitz Boost Controller function) and see if this is true or not.

First I did a run wuth standart PSI and the graph was very smooth. Boost goes up and stays up. There is a nearly straight line at 11PSI

Second run I turn boost on and try again. The result looks like this. Boost goes up to 14.5/15 PSI and then drops down immediately to 12 then goes back to 14.5/16PSI then drops to 12/12.5/13PSI (random). And this goes on and on.

Anyone experience this before. What can cause this kind of instability?

Thanks.

I believe that you might be right.

Can you give me some infos of what this values should might be?

well stock blowers actuators i think should not have a gain of more than 5-15

my suggestion is to go with around 10 on gain and then between 45-50 i would think for ratio to set 14 psi or around 1 bar.

If it works the same as my Blitz DSBC (which I am changing for the i-D version when it arrives) it sounds like the limiter value is set too high.

On mine you set the maximum boost pressure and then a value to drop the boost by when it goes over the limit.

If the drop is set too big then the boost drops back too far and gives a noticeable lag as it builds up again.

set the limiter to 14.5 or 15psi and the reduction value to 5 or whatever.

As has been said a gain/ratio of around 5 - 10 is good.
