Do you have any idea of what needs to be done i guess custom mounts all round custom prop aswell then joining the looms together?

yeah, custom gearbox mount as well

the bottom cross member will want modding, you will save lots of weight tho

where abouts in notts you from?

selston just near alfreton not to far from you mate.

i was thinking of the conversion as ive just bought a n/a auto 300

Welcome mate!-just down the road in Hucknall!

I'm sure there is a you tube vid of a converted 300-in Saudi IIRC

i got this one at a bit of a bargain lol

I was also wondering how easy is it to swap from the n/a auto to a manual tt?

the one in saudi was a supra engine which to be honest is an easier conversion and much cheaper to tune so this would be the thing i would do.

if your doing the skyline engine the RB25 would be alot easier but if you want the RB26 then you would need to get the gearbox and transfer box but remove and plate where it goes to the front prop shaft.

do'able but hard work when you consider that you will need to spend at least 4-5k for a decent RB26 engine and box etc, best bet would be to pick up a cheap R32 GTR, maybe a crached one and strip it for its loom, etc etc

yh i would pick the rb25 ive got a loom ecu ive been offerd all the rest for £1000 ie complete engine box ect

If you want to use an RB26 from a GTR you fit the sump and gearbox from an RB25 to get rid of the 4wd.

If my engine blows up I intend on doing the RB25 route, they are as tuneable as an RB26, just a bit smaller.

As one of the links said, the original 300 loom can be used if you change the coil and injectors connectors and probably odd other wires too. The firing order is different but as you are going to extend the wires thats no prob. And of course the ECU will need work but the wiring side sounds fairlly easy. Some use an Zemulator ?????

yh the rb25 is really good i put one in my 200sx s13 that ive just sold

  • Author
what did you use for the wiring/ECU on the S13?

i got a mate to mad the two looms, you use the rb for the enigne then u join the 2 for started and alternator using the ca loom so it plugs into fuses as norm, the use both for knock sensor then join the 2 near the ecu

oh, ok, thanks. And for the ECU?

just use the skyline ecu, but the speedo doesnt read right theres a few ways to make that right
