Well a mate of mine has got a turbo (it was at the dyno day) and even with a mere 200bhp at the wheels it's pretty lively !

 

Not really a hairdressers car, more of a transvestite on steroids !

...and there was me contemplating purchasing one of these vehicles after the sale of my Supra.

C'mon the MR2 ain't THAT bad.....look at some of the other contenders....Tigra? How about the 1.8 BMW Z3?

 

The series 2 MR2 was a decent drive....I can't comment on the new ones...but they do appear to have made a big move for the hairdresser market.

'93/'94 onwards Turbo had 245bhp! REZPECT!

I gave a 200SX a race today coming home from Letchworth in the Zed, Red SX slowly cruZed along side me, guy checking me car, then he started to accelerate. "RACE ME" basicly so, knocked the O/D off and floored it. was only doing 112kph when he come along side me and the beast took off. 192kph had to slow down, didnt see the SX till I slowed right down to come off at stevenage. guy gave a little wave (very gutted he was)

Not bad for and oldie..

Have ya seen a light blue (aqua marine) Mk4 Escort convertible with black windows (talking of hair dressers cars) a meat head driving it and a shit load of maps on the dash. Hey got DVD and VCR in it now. takes the bordem out of the weekends sitting outside these guys houses.

OMG!!! the dude carries on and does the job. stalling at lights, 1st then starting at green and changing thru thr revs!! nutter!! done the job though then got the AA to come out and fix whislt the girlie was doing the biZ. Hands together for the hero (clap)(clap)

A few years back the clutch cable snapped on my Lancia HPE in Sheffield, and I drove it back to Bournemouth with no clutch. Had to wait til about 10pm though when traffic had died down and just matched the revs on every gearchange, turned ignition off and started in gear at each junction. I only ground the gears on one gearchange the entire way home
