hi all

has anyone heard or got one of these fitted? a mate of mine has a f1 clutch fitted to his evo 6 and had no probs! also would an ali flywheel be ok with a 6 puck paddle clutch heard bad stories about them chewing ali flywheels?

I think I'd go for the "Made from 100% 4140 chromoly steel" version (just my opinion). Aluminum is probably OK but tends to fracture over time when stressed.

Alloy flywheels are for cars you have the engine out of regularly in my opinion....i.e. Rally and track cars!

 

The Flywheel assists in the "Throw" of an engine and is why the Z flywheel is big and heavy!...Much the same as lightweight pullys they'll allow it to rev-up more quickly, but use of one needs to be carefully considered in terms of engine reliability and maintenence interval on the rest of the engine components.....They spent millions designing the engine with 'balance' in mind and would have used a lightweight flywheel if engineering dictated!
