god havent been here for a long time. not much as changed. anyway i need to replace my engine any ideas where i can get a reliable one from. what should i look out for?

where to get one..possibly the breakers on here. get a compression test done for starters and assertain mileage and if possible hear it running

it would be a guess , but I would imagine you are talking 3 or 4 grand, but knowing nissan probably more than that. You are far better getting a decent engine for a few hundred and rebuilding it to your desired spec for less

I think one guy got a new nissan engine replaced under insurance because he drove through a flood...

 

Cost was £8500 iirc

 

Total cost for the job was £10k

Guy i bought my zed off 9 years ago paid 3.7k for a short block, so certainly big bucks for a complete newie :)

They are all brand new, so not recond. The JUN stroker engine is for my slicktop project so not for sale.

 

Price for the JUN longblock is 9000Euro (6250 GBP)

Price for the stock engine is 4750Euro (3300 GB). This engine is complete with turbos, pre-cats, injectors, lower & upper plenum, CAS and much more

 

I am willing to sell the stock engine as a longblock only so without turbos, injectors, upper & lower plenum and CAS, price for the longblock is 3500euro (2440 GBP)

Mate, thats a good price for a brand new lump. If I had the cash mate I'd have one as mine appears to have either a crack in the head or block. Unfortunately I haven't, but you should advertise them on here, i'm sure someone whos doing a full resto would take your arm off for one!!!!
