yes, they're good but I suspect the spring rate is too much for road use

The SPL/KTS Coilovers are very popular in the states for the 300zx with excellent reviews. Better quality than the usual Teins.

12kg/8kg Springs rate are way OTT for the road !

I know absolutely sod all about spring rates Dave, :) but would you know what KG would be a nice comfortable ride ?

Arrogosta have released a new coilover which is meant to be far softer to their norm, however i don't yet know the spring rates of them.

cheers

I can say they ARE very stifly sprung :( I got a bad back now to prove it.

Good link Darrel! They are very similair to those. Maybe that is a generic picture they put up.

As for spring rates, Not sure what stock is but i reckon 20% maximum increase would be ok on the roads.

12kg/8kg Springs are oesteopath material :p

HTH : an example of the more common z32 fitment spring rates -

Nissan OEM (Varys slightly between US/JAP/EUROPE , TT and NA)

Front

2.8kg/mm (157 lb)

Rear

2.4kg/mm (134 lb)

Eibach Pro springs (have not done the Math to convert to kg/mm)

Progressive Front

(185-250 lb)

Rear

(145-200 lb)

Tein Flex Coilovers

Front

8kg/mm

Rear

6kg/mm

D2 RS Coilovers

Front

13kg/mm (727 lb)

Rear

7kg/mm (392 lb)

I will be going for a 8kg/6kg setup in mine (but not Teins).

Having been in the D2's I would avoid them, and any similar spring rate, like the plague !

thanks for that mate, very helpful :)

These are what am looking at and note it's a rubber upper mount an dnot solid, so should be a smoother ride,

Aragosta Comfort Damper

The Comfort Damper is perfect for the every day commute. With the adoption of the newly developed rubber mount, private attenuation power, and the fact that spring rate setting is adjusted, it removes the pressure impression from the road surface altogether. This suspension is superior even in silent characteristic. Free height adjustment is possible concerning the styling.

- Comfort ride

- Rubber upper mount

- Forged aluminum cylinder

- 12 step adjustment function

cost approx £1300

cheers
