Hi all,

I start the car and the revs are not stable it will cut out or go up and down when the car is cold. When I boot it full throttle it does not want to go.

What is wrong with my car now....?

Any help would be good..... :duffer:

Checked for ecu error codes?

mine started doing this last night :-( i think this sort of thing is expected from my zed tho. I think mine might be something to do with the thing at back of the engine that needs adjusting. Idle thingy

I have all the rare bits you can't find :tongue:

Could be a mixture problem check for air or vacuum leaks, could be a small vacuum pipe off. Or..

Have you had to top the coolant up in the rad? As you could have an air lock which can cause idle fluctuations, as the pocket of air causes the ECU temp sensor to read air instead of coolant, so the ECU tries to control the air/fuel mixture which causes the idle to go up and down. An indication coolant could be low or there is an air lock, is the aux fan will cut in and out.

so i take it that my water leak which is super bad is probably causing that then

If you are low or have been low on coolant and got an air lock then yes it can as said before if it not reading coolant temp but the hot ait in the pipe

Thanks for the help. Will have a look at the weekend.
