Got a burning smell from the engine some time after an oil change... Today I found the source. The oil dip stick. There is white smoke comming out from it... That can't be good...???

Sounds like damaged piston(s) :( Do a compression test and let us know the figures...

Going to do a compression test this weekend. Where are the pcv located and anyway to check them?

Here you go 1 each side, you can take them out and clean them

if the breather systym is working ok, and that does not just mean the valves but the hoses are all checked aswell

then it may well point to damaged piston land/ring

Can you feel any pressure behind the dip stick or oil filler neck? A compression test is a good indication on engine condition however, a cylinder leakage test can provide much more information on the internals of your engine. What grade and type of oil did you use when you changed it?

/\ /\ /\ seconded but not many people have a cylinder leakage tester....

remove the oilcap with the engine running and check for pressure...too much pressure can be caused by engine compression problems.

If you even see signs of exhaust fumes coming out from there it's very bad news.

If the engine starts to run unstable as soon as you remove the cap it's usually a PCV valve stuck open.

I've been looking at AMZ total twin turbo engine package for rebuild. What else do I need?

>> I've been looking at AMZ

a word of warning: don't waste your time with AMZ...they have a VERY bad reputation.
