hi all.

I know this is going to hurt a lot of people on this forum,This is what was done to three new turbo's today in work.Believe me i didn't enjoy having to do this especially as my car is a na.they are to be presented to employees of garretts, as the skelmersdale site is nearing closure.we have been producing small batches of thrust bearings, balancing fixtures, test rigs ect for the last fifteen years, but like a lot of industry they are moving to eastern europe.Anyway i hope this does not upset to many people but there is no way they are going to work now!.[ hope the attachment works as it is the first time iv'e tried adding an attachment!.]

nice idear.surley only a matter of time and a lot of development work, but thats how the variable vane came about.choice of materials holds back a lot of development.but with better development of nimonic alloys and other materials who knows?
