I'm just completing my tax return on-line and had to enter some notes. When I pressed 'next' to move on, I got an error message saying that it is not permitted to use the pound sign !

Have they already moved over to € then? I thought we were supposed to have a referendum or something...

Took mine OK and processed it telling me it owed me money. And for that I will forgive it's refusal to allow me to mention pounds.

I'm a woman and a little ignorant when it comes to computer, unless I'm playing nerdy games I'm lost

Don't know if all keyboards have them in the same place so, mine is on the 4 key, the $ is above it but can't get to the Euro symble next to it

I still use the old way to send my tax return by post for my own company. I went to use the on-line method, but the inland rev. wanted me to buy high security certificates, you get four for £50. i.e. one for every 3mnth return. I thought f?ck that!, I'll just buy a stamp and stick it in the post!.
