My sister saw a green/blue zed (cant be sure from pic she sent on phone) with some really nice wheels on a car transporter on the M42 at about 6pm yesterday 12/9.

Was it you / yours???

Hi ZX-Eyes

Yes it was mine. You may recall from previous threads I've had water leak problems.

Well Geoff at Zworld found one from the pipes from the block at the front and replaced them, That then caused a problem with the expansion tank and that was fixed and then the rad started to leak from the full pressure. He put a rescued Rad on thinking it was ok and then driving back up the M40 yesterday clouds of steam like a vapour trail from the zed.... thought sh1t, am I going that fast !

Anyway pulled over, swithed off, put 8 pints of cold water in, cranked it over and killed it straight away so hopefully bnothing serious damaged because the temp guage didn't go off scale.

Anyway got picked up and taken home and then the RAC delivered it to Geoff this morning. Geoff's been good as gold, don't worry under warranty and any damage we'll put right....you might just have pay a bit more for the difference between the cost of the one you had and the new all metal one. All else warranty. Superb service

Car is a 1995 Jap spec TT with Rozza wheels. Last of the fuul spec'd one I think. Full deep carpets, digital air con, Late series spoiler etc

I'm still trying to get to a meet. It's going into Digbeth Coachcraft for a bit of tlc... there's a couple of stone chips and door dings etc but otherwise a beautiful machine.

I will get to a meet one day soon

Hopefully i will too, i'm quite a new member and have'nt been to one yet, so when i get the time i will do. Then i'll be able to have a proper look at it as the pic my sister sent was poor at best - i could'nt even tell the colour, what colour is your car? It looks nice even from a tiny picture.

I have a 1992 jap tt auto, nothing special like yours, but i have done quite a few exterior mods and have got a lot of performance mods planned when i get the money together. Also when i get the time and learn a bit of patience i am going to respray it as it does'nt look great at the moment, a bit 'bitty' if you know what i mean. Mechanically sound though - which is the main thing.

Good job you did'nt let it overheat, some :xxx: ripped me off about a year ago, i bought the car drove it 100 miles on the m6 and then it blew up, mechanic said he had sold it to me with the head gaskets gone and then the cam belt snapped at the same time - lost a lot of money getting out of that, it was very tatty though so although i was very pissed off, it was'nt as bad as it could of been. Also spent 2 1/2 hours on the side of the m6 with my 8 year old brother!!!

Anyway bud hope your car gets sorted soon and you get back out on the road. :p

Hi

Its metallic pearlescent green... looks bluish in certain light..

Been told by Geof that he'll have an all metal Rad on Monday latest....then he can test it and check out compression etc and make sure that nothing has been damaged.

It came fully serviced, Cam belt changed and with 6 months engine and auto box guarantee and I've driven it every day nearly .

Needs a service and that'll be done next week

Best Regards

I had to replace my rad with a brand new all metal one as the in pipe was crushed by someone tightening a jubilee clip too tight - luckily my mechanic spotted it before anything serious happened. Anyway that cost me less than £200 i think (quite a while ago, can't really remember), so you should'nt get too bigger bill.

Anyway once its done its done! One less thing to go wrong in the future.

Good luck bud.
