How's about arranging a big get-together for everyone for april-may next year? Do it now and no one has an excuse not to attend. It was a real shame we had such a small turn-out at zedfest but those that went will know how good it was to meet up with other forum members and actually meet them face to face ;)

I think Billing Aquadrome would be a *reasonably* central venue but any other suggestions are welcome?

Cheers,

Andy

Derek I will call you to discuss :) Never thought of a band/disco - could be a great idea!!!!

Cheers,

Andy

Went to both Billing Aquadrom and Calverton and agree better amenities at Billing. This may encourage more from the south to go as I only found 1 other car, which was from Southend.

that is true, but our member base runs from lands end to John O'Groates and the Scottish guys are always left in the cold when it comes to the main events~!

Now what entertainment do people want? :D

i think a LIVE band ,would be the best .... :smash:

..

some accomodation and various other facilities at very reasonable prices.

The other facilities are fine but hey forget about the accomodation they shouldn't be allowed to let people stay in them.

Cheers for the invite will come to either venue

Thing that Billing is the better venue but the scout camp has the advantage of only us using it

With the numbers climbing quite steadily, a couple more weeks should see a healthy interest, maybe see what percentage of southern and northern members have said they will go and take the decision as to Calverton or Billing from that. Would be a shame if for example you picked calverton and not many Northerners went, if yer get me drift :)

For me personally though, with what Billing has to offer in the grounds around, thats my choice, but will happily go with the flow :)

i think being one of the peeps who lives furthest south i dont mind travelling a bit so that the softy northeners can attend, wouldnt want them breaking a painted toenail in angst

if im still working for bookers when it happens i might be able to get a free keg of lager if someone can get hold of a portable pump/cooler then we can tap it

And how many southerners attended the AGM?.......2, YEAH, great support from the south!

Thanks for the offer, but we'd need a drinks licence for one of those.

i have a personal licence if that helps, just not for that area, cant remember the rules dont know if we could get away with me being a designated supervisor. In all honesty as for the agm ......i prefer a piss up weekend rather than a functional one( i know thats what the agm was but it just sounded to formal( why not do a virtual agm in a online world with avatars and such))

if its april ormay ill be there, as regards venue calverston is 186mls from holyhead and billing about 240mls so its much of a muchness, im sure chewie will have his car back on the road by then as well, we will try and make a mini irish convoy

Yep i'm up for it, get our ferry booked early :)

just another thought, if Billing was the chosen venue, what about having it on week-end that there is a RWYB at santa pod , as members who would like a little track action could be accomodated as well, say on the sat,

Great idea except (IMHO) if you have it on a track day or similar it takes away the reason for having a 300ZX meeting as everyones going to be more interested in whats going on rather than just a big ol drink and get together for the club?

If you dont mind me saying?

have to agree with that, folk would go for the RWYB on Saturday and not to Billing for the knees up!!

yes i know what your saying, what i meant was just (for those who might like to go on track) taking 3-4 hours out of the week-end to do so, good and all as i am at :duffer: cant dee me doing it straight through from fri afternoon till sunday night,

at the end of the day im easy and will go with the flow, it was just a thought

at the end of the day im easy

In that case. What ever you want, Im with you in the evening.  :slap:
