Hello guys,

i'm actually looking for the Ferodo part number of the rear DS2500 pads for the twin turbo, i already bought the front ones (FCP 986 H) but the shop told me they can't supply me with rear ones unless they know the part number.

I would be very thankful for any help.

Best regards.

Artur.

Not sure if Mintex do any? Trouble is not many other performance pads are so good from cold with such good resistance to fading etc as the ferodos...

Give me an hour or so to contact my Ferodo supplier. I'm sure I've seen rear pads for the Z32 but they may well be for Brembo caliper fitment of the R33GTR upgrade.

Alternatively I can highly recommend Porterfield pads which are superb for fast-road & track usage. Rear pads come in at £65 delivered. Not in stock at the moment but due in the next ten days.

Rear R33 GT-R pads wont fit the Z32 rear calipers, they are way to big. Just tried that by myself, have both calipers/pads here.

Yes, so I've been told as well.

I have been given a part number for the rear calipers but upon further investigation the same pad is used for Subaru Imprezza 2-pot calipers. So, if anyone knows whether those and the Z32 rear calipers are the same - please let me know.

Cheers,

Dan

That rings a bell actually Dan! Well worth looking into! The problem is Subarus are such a rare breed, finding an owner to compare one with might be a problem... :wack:  ;)

Yeah, would you believe that there are about 3 Zeds within a 5 mile radius from where I live but only 7 scoobies. Unfortunately they are all pre-1999 which use slide calipers at the rear.

That would be useful Rich - thanks.

Did you fit the pads?

Thanks!

Dan

Yep - they fitted! Will check tonight for ya...

The part number I've been quoted is: FCP1372

Thanks!

allow me to 'shed' some light on this as i own a shed! the impreza rear pads are the same as the z32 pads on specific models... pre-facelift older imprezas do not have the same pads, the facelift+ (98+) models of the 2.0 turbo imprezas (not uk spec, wrx or sti models) have got the same pad as the z32.

it is a very similar story for the front so if you ever buy brake pads that happen to be labelled as impreza pads, dont worry, its prolly correct. this, however, does not count for the calipers and discs!

Thank you very much for that info! That's more than I got out of my Ferodo supplier!

Cheers mate :duffer:

Behind Horizon:

As we've now established the pads I have been quoted WILL fit your rear calipers. They are very dear though at £136.55 (delivered).

Let me know if you want a set and I'll order them in.

Cheers,

Dan
