Hi Guys,

Been looking at a Big brake upgrade, and as both the front and rear pads are brand new (80 miles  ) was thinking of swapping over the Calipers. what i mean is the bigger brakes come with 8 pot calipers so can i put the front 6 pot calipers in place of the rear 4 pots as a straight swap? Seams a waste not to try, i know i could sell them to the 200sx guys but if can improve the whole braking system by just swapping them over i'd rather do that.

Any thoughts on this? has it already been done? can it be done? can anybody foresee any problems by doing this?

cheers

Are they..... Sh!t they are crap arn't they! lol well question still stands can they befitted to the rear without aload of fabrication be done?

Nope, you'd need to modify the hubs. I did it to install the 350Z rears and it's a pain.

Suppose it depends on wheel clearance etc. The rear discs are actually larger than the fronts due to them having the parking brake inside...
