As were on the subject of nailing expensive cars i had a set too a weekend ago with a guy driving an m power z4 which is a £43,000 motor. He tried to inside lane me on a roundabout so i wound it up with the beemer in hot pursuit and gained over a 150yds which i kept till the next junction. The guy pulled along side and said "fook me what have you done to that?".Told him bigger tubs and injectors and he stuck his thumb up and said "fair shout".Made my day and probaly ruined his getting done by a four grand car.

I was in a Zed last week, when we came across a Ferrari 355. He tried to get away along A-road but we were stuck with him everytime he accelerated.....then we reached motorway sliproad and we easily passed him and left him behind and he was flooring it......there was no way in the world he was not giving it everything he had, even heard him hitting rev limiter.

Zed was faster but Ferrari sounded so much better !

A 360 might be lighter (not lighter than my zed though! ;) ) but weight does'nt have as much affect at higher speeds however having 100ib/ft less torque than krsmayo's zed would have a big affect.

Get real guys FFS

How can you beat a lighter more powerful car??? Unless the driver doesn't have a clue how to drive the car in the first place.

I drove my mates 360 spider a few times and its in a different league to a 15 year old Nissan.

Even if you where running 450bhp the Ferrari is still about 250kg lighter and naturally aspirated

I'm inclined to agree here.........although I cannot comment as I wasn't there/have not seen it myself.

But I do have a theory.........

......many petrol heads who buy exotica/supercars know enough about Japanese junior supercars (300zx/Supra/RX7 etc) to know that some examples are tuned to the extreme. They therefore do not know what they are up against and their egos will not allow them to be handed their arse by an old rice rocket - hence they don't try. That way when they are beaten at least they can say "well, I didn't really bother......"

Just a thought :p

Nice kill BTW mate!

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

well what is the stats for an 06 (i think) porsche carrera 4s convertable and non convertible, i wasted a ragtop from a standing start upto about 90mph (we both had to slow down as we ran out of road), he gave me the thumbs up and said i had a nice car (or something similar), i was in a pub and i was telling my mate about this gorgous porker i had raced and he said "he prob wasnt trying very hard", to which a guy came over and said "was that you in the black and white car", after i established he wasnt a coper i agreed and he shook my hand and said "ive never been wasted by anything as quick as that" and he turned to my mate and said "BTW i was trying-HARD"

ive also wasted a 370 bhp saphire cossie, and a vauxhall vx 220 (the turbo jobbie)

but saying that, i had a seat leon turbo keep up with me the other day (fookin running prob)

Hi,

Those Seat Leon Cupra R's are quite fast, especially if they've been chipped, as they're lighter than an old Z as well!
