Hi guys,

really took the car for a blast yesturday as i was approacing a summit after travelling downhill, the car did nt take off, but the back end seemed to wobble.... and it did nt feel good at all

i know this is a test for any car, but travelled this road many times not always at this speed lol.......

i am thinking its the rear shocks or maybe the hicas as the lights been on/off lately ??

Im going to replace the shocks quite soon,as far as i know there standard & prolly a little tired, but any advise is welcomed :)

Check the fluid level on the HICAS. Probably the reason the light is coming on intermitently.

As for the rest it could be any of a number of things from bushes to shocks etc.

I'm sure one of the experts will be along with a recommendation before long however.

Good luck with it.

its not low at all, but will fill up cheers :)

As already mentioned , check for wear in the rear steering inner ball joints and outer joints in the lower arms .

Mine had a fair bit of wear but not enough to fail on the mot ,they just told me it would need doing soon

Have the wheels been balanced recently??

rear Wishbone? Aside from shocks , a knackered or bent wishbone can give severe unstability in the rear as i found out after buying this one.

Changing your socks won't help, although changing your underpants after your experience might be highly recommendable ;) :D

As soon as the rear end is jacked up, put one hand at the front and one at the back of the wheel and see if there is any play when trying to move the wheel in a steering manner, if that makes sense?
