Is there supposed to be a cover covering biggrin.gif the cam belts and all the other belts from under the car. Ie. there is a cover under the car stopping any crap getting into that area.

I say this because when I did an oil change I noticed a small cover for something. It wasnt really protecting anything and on closer inspection I noticed that the cover had actually been cut, and there was a bolt half way under the car, with what looked like a small piece of cover again covering nothing. All the pieces lined up and it looked like there should be a cover covering the belts from the road.

Should there be one there? If so the person who changed the belts before just cut the cover off, and looking at the history it was a Nissan dealer who did it.

dunno it was on it when i got it hang on youve got me thinking now, i'll go and have a look......................It's a Bosch, the big black surround on it appears to be a battery cover, the cover must be a standard part as its got nissan logo on it.
