Boost Help Please

Been out in the Zed today and noiced a hissing noise comming from the top left hand corner of the engine. There is a t pipe connecter with air (the hissing) comming out the other end and my boost gauge (stock) was showing bost in the middle of the dail.

I took the t pipe connect off and connected the two hoses together which seens to have sorted the problem, the gauge now shows the boost to how it should be.

Why would this t connecter just start hissing from one end and what do you think it is for. maybe the owner in Japen had a manual boost controller?

Any comments please.......

sounds like this was the "take off" for another boost gauge and the plug has come off allowing escaping boost air and it should have run rough on the idle aswell (vacume signal)

Yes it didi run rough, by removing the t pipe and connect the two hoses back together should that be ok, or should I put the t connector back in and purchase a plug for it?

not unless your thinking of another boost gauge other wise it will be fine

Cool that makes me feel alot better. Im starting to find loads of things about the car, found an Apexi Air Flow Meter hidden under the passenger seat with the wiring hidden under the carpet, it also has an apexi turbo timer and an apexi induction kit. Looks like someone nicked the boost controller when they imported it lol
