finally found a nice twin turbo std unmolested 61k and clean inside and out and drove her home tuesday night.

but a need for pampering has arisen and i need some advice from you chaps(esses) if poss.

she`s got origional exhaust tails which i don`t think will clean up to my satisfaction so do i replace just the tail boxes and if so where do i get some nice looking compatable ones from i prefer the 4 ickle tailpipe look to that of a large lump each side or am i better off just getting a complete system if so again where from?

secondly i do`nt like the std alloy wheels and wanna replace em a set of kei racing kreuze wheels that have caught my eye what size front and rear do you guys recommend as i wanna "fill up" those arches i`m thinking 19 inches,so i need to know does a 19 inch rim go straight on or am i talking of modding arches etc etc and what size tyres? same front and rear or a bigger profile to the rear forgive my nievety but as a converted "old skool" ford guy i need education.

apart from that well chuffed with her, she`s clean dent free one stone chip which my body shop are sorting out and totally origional and immaculate inside except the clarion sound system which is going in the bin at the weekend and having a decent system to play my toons on.

goes like facaes off a garden implement and with the tops off i get the wind rushing through where my hair used to be.

thanks in advance for your idea`s and advice its all much appreciated.

chris e boy

hope to see you south east boys at the grasshopper for a :duffer: :duffer: or two if she drives.

you'll prob need to roll the rear arches to fit 19's....depends how wide they are really...also kyb shocks n suitable springs to get the car a bit lower completes the look...powerflow can do stock back boxes if i recall do a google.....welcome to the club...have fun

you can get a mongoose or scorpion systym with small quad pipes which can be bought from the catalyst back! around the £400-500 mark, dont waste money chopping and fitting new tails pipes

wheels go for a width 8.5" front 10"rears i had 18s on mine which were sufficant. Especially when lowered. someone will have to add tyre sizes as there not my thing.

sounds like you got a nice car, just service here regularly and hopefully a trouble free fun car will be the answer

enjoy

Welcome bud , 19s will fit without arch mods as long as there the right offset and not too wide , i,ve got 18s on mine 8.5 front and 9.5 rears , fronts are fine rears are a little too wide if i wanted to lower the car as they would catch the arch :smash:

All have 35mm offset 114.3 pcd

These are a set of 19s i borrowed , don,t know the width of these :headvswal

well done bud, pics?

for me stick to 18's as its still a better balance of performance and looks, i am slightly biased though as i have 18's

If your car is standard I'd go for 18's and then think about lowering it a little in the future.

Mine had 19s on and looked like a 4x4 so could have done with dropping, but the arches would have needed to be rolled

IMO 18s look and most definately drive better than 19s on a Zed. Well done on getting a nice one. Look forward to seeing you at a meet :)

thems my wheels boldy!!!

you were right, looK nice on yours they do, how come they fill the arches to the brim on yours but not on mine?

Go for 19"'s. I have 9.5 rear, 8.5 fronts, cant remember the off set, but the front is different from the rear.

Mine fill the arches well, dont rub ever, and the ride is fine.

18's are for girls, lol. (not that theres anything wrong with girls)

Yep, go 18's. Mine are 9.5j rear and 8.5j front.

If your after a more stock looking zorst i'd really recomend the Mongoose cat back system. I have one and love it to bits. Quality is awesome too

Heres a pic of both

Boldy your rears seem to sit alot further out than mine, is the offset on them deffo 35mm, I will need to check what mines is when I get back.

I really don,t know bud , IIRC yours has KYB shocks and lowered springs  , mines got old saggy standard springs :headvswal

Got to say it was a huuuuuge dilema as to which wheels to buy cos they suited mine soooo well ( only in 19s though )

In the end the cost of tyres won and i went for a different look with 18s

BTW your car still looks the mutts bud

nice 1 mate, glad you found a gud'n. i,m runnin 18's 235/45/18 front and 285/30/18 rear on pirelli. sits and drives nice
