Why does it seem to move (i am probably being dim), when idling it is below 4 (middle) and when accelerating it rises a little?

LOL...why do you think? C'mon bud, that's common sense. As the engine works harder, the oil pressure is going to rise!

I know mate, just wanted a bit of reassurance that nothing awry is going on!! Where is the dipstick for the Auto box oil? And what should I use?>

Dude, don't touch it. If you don't know the principles of oil pressure, then please don't attempt to do anything like that on yours! j/k ;)

 

Not sure, can't answer that as I've never owned an auto Z32. But use the search facility mate, it's what its there for. :)

auto gearbox oil dip stick is the back left of the engine, look behind the balance tube mine has a yellow top to it!
