if this is a stock gauge then i wouldnt take it too seriously. could be the stock sender dying as it heats up.

if its an aftermarket gauge, then it depends how much it drops off by, oil pressure will naturally decrease as the temperature rises and it gets thinner

Mines the same...had mine 5yr and no problems with it.. Stock gauges are not that good ( apparently )

Having said that No 2 Zeds are the same... LOL

mine has had a dodgy oil pressure guage since i purchased it 2 years ago sometimmes it sits at 0 other time it reads in the middle of the guage.

standard figures it should be half to 3/4 when cold

once warm

idle at 1/4 then under load 1/2 to 3/4 depending on oil type

Thanks guys.

Cant believe how helpful + enthusiastic You all are.

The guy did say he had put a mechanical gauge on that showed good pressure but,

As i don't know him, i am naturally cautious !

if you ae unsure compression test it. if the guy was genuine he wouldnt mind you doing it!

always better to be safe than sorry.

Just changed my sender, £90 from nissan, 100% improvement. was reading zero when hot or maybe first mark, scared crap out of me. Worth getting new sender.
