Fuel Dirt? Worth changing pump?

Changed fuel filter today and filter was full of a brown silt like stuff. Looked like rust.

Me's thinking that after 17 years there must be quite a lot of s**t in the tank.

So, what do you recon guys, is it worth cleaning out tank and replacing the pump? If so, I've seen those uprated ones on Ebay, any good?

I'm thinking that all that stuffs gone through the pump and can't of done it any good.

Off to Spain in the old girl soon and can't be doing with some french bloke charging me 500 euros to whack a pump in!!! :headvswal

It wouldn't hurt to clean the tank and replace the pump with a (good) second hand TT pump. (even only for piece of mind)

the "uprated" ebay ones generally flow less then a stock TT pump and make more noise.
