Hi all,

I have just won a nice leather auto shifter from a later ZX on Ebay (thanks AndyZ - it's in really good condition too  ).

Question is, how do I get the old one out and re-fit the new one (and how does the centre console trim come off)?

Also the new one is minus the big release button; is it easy to remove it from my existing shifter and locate it in the leather one?

Thanks in advance!

Richard :)

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

To remove the cantre console, as far as i remember the stereo facia has to come out first by gently removing the screw cover at the top(right beneath the vents), remove two screws and gently pulling it out. Then there are two more screws at the top of the console.

There are two wires for the o/d that need to be cut and reconnected for the razo gearknob i bought a while back, not sure if yours is the same .don't worry, they're easy to get at anyway.
