Ive just been getting busy with a zed in a scrap yard and noticed that the wastegate solonoid bolted to the side of the engine had a breather/hose cut and had been blanked off,

just wanted to know why it was done, does it allow you to run more boost?

sorry it didnt have the boost controller, im after one myself and a rough idea on how to fit one if anybody can help,

do you have a picture of this pipe unplugged? i haev a feeling it is the same for me.

there is a bit of piping down the sides of the engine that were on a t juntion connector.. it has been looped around and does nothing and not connected to anything.

Santa believes it used to have a boost controller. If this is what the boost controller used before what would the symptoms of this be?

Could this be related to the engine missing i am getting under high boost? Maybe the wastegate is not functioning preperly without it and so i get engine problems under full load

OMG that was VERY helpful... just what i needed... except now i am trying to figure out if thsi causes the problem.. one of the pipes goes from the top left section of the T and the other pipe from the right side of the T goes back round into the bottom section of the T.

i am not boosting unlimited boost however this clearly must be a cause of some problems if it is not wired in properly. basically that T section is not wired up to anything but itself..... ohhh errrr misses
