James Bond Anti -speed camera reg plate!!!!!

Check this out for a nifty gadget!!!!

I know someone who's invented a clear plastic piece of perspex that goes over the rear reg plate ,It turns white at the flick of a switch from your dashboard, he drives through speed and traffic cameras at any speed and at any time!!! totally undetectable, I've seen it in action it's awesome can u imagine the fun u could have with it!!!!!!

At the moment he only designs them 4 regular regular plate sizes BUT I'm getting one made for my import. He usually knocks them out for £150 but if i get a group order for ten of them , then its £100. Anyone interested????

great idea, but if you got caught then you would almost deffinatly have your liscense took off you and be put in prison for being a very naughty boy biggrin.gif

I had a bright spark of a similar idea a few years back but never took it any further. It's kinda based on those welding masks that have an LCD screen built in that go black when you spark up. I thought that you could have have a similar screen but over the numberplate which is trigged a by light detector set off by a camera flashes. Then I realised it would be far more subtle to just change a digit or two, rather than blank the plate completely which immediately arouses suspicion.

If they are that good and undetectable, Im in

The picture in the review is quite old, and the black trim surrounding the perspex is now less obvious. If u only flick it on for a few seconds when blasting through 'sensitive' areas, noone will ever know!!!! by the way the priva-plate link is correct.

Warren, I was thinking more about "The Priva-Plate to work it must be connected to a 12v power supply to go clear, no power will make it stay obscured". Cheers,Geoff

Yep ur right geoff. u switch it on to go clear. By the way I'm WOZZA not WAZZA. ;-)

Can these things be modified for my TV when b**tard Coronation Street is on?

I would love one of those things.

How much drain is there on your battery if it has to be switched on all the time?

It would take some explaining if you left it in the street with a blank plate!

Also those of us with modded cars... surely the police could identify the car without the reg? Do they have to use the reg as proof?

I visit my bro in Edinburgh quite often and it pisses me off to go past about 20 cameras up the A1 on wide open roads. Would be fun biggrin.gif

I'd be well interested in one of these if the power was the other way round....

After reading the review on these plates it seems to me that when you turn off the ignition the plate would go white... I can just imagine getting stopped by the bill and seeing their faces when they say can you turn off your engine please....

Er..... where's your registration gone....

I'm very interested,

If they are clear perspex could you apply vinyl numerals and reflective backing to make it look just like a standard plate, at a cursory glance.

Surely it would be fed from a 12v constant, like the b/u on your stereo, so it won't go clear when the ignition is switched off.

If available in Jap sizes let me know - cash waiting biggrin.gif

or you could use two central locking push rods on each top corner of the plate with the bottom of the plate on a hinge press a button on your dash, plate flicks forward with the one behind saying F*** OFF just a thought honest

They've been designed so that they can b easily removed on velcro pads either side of the perspex, when u get out of the car whip it off and throw it in the boot.As for the battery drain issue, I'll get back to u.

might be a little difficult to do this if you have just been pulled over and the police park behind you.....

better start practising the best "innocent face with no cares whistle" you can as they film you doing just that.. lol

I read on the site that it's not recommended for front use...?

What about forward facing cameras?
