Well, not stickers as such, but these things...

babe_on_board_300.jpg

Apart from being dreadfully tasteless, one thing I noticed today and have noticed for quite a while now, is not one single woman driving their cars adorning these things is ever in the remotest bit attractive.

Usually heavily made up overweight blimps with fag ash all down the doors and a rack of nasty Elizabeth Duke creole earings.

i also cant stand "baby on board ones either", i mean ffs, what do you want a medal?

i never had one when i was single

a work colleague has a beauty though:

"wife and dog missing, reward for dog"

i dont see the harm in baby on board, has fook all to do with "i have a kid so fook you" its more a polite way of saying you tailgate me and risk harm to my child i will get out and bat your fookin doors in

babe on board etc etc, i see si's point of view, most of them are ugly as fookin sin :smash: LMAO

The stickers are crap. Do you really believe someone irresponsible enough to tailgate is going to become responsible, just because someone's got a Baby On Board sticker?

Why the feck should someone drive *more* carefully than normal because there is a junior human being in the car in front?? Does it follow that if you see an old granny in a car it's fine to ram her up the bumpers??

It's nonsensical. Everyone should drive carefully all the time, regardless of the ages of passengers in other vehicles.

Someone on Room 101 once said about Baby on Board stickers:

"They're not really about driving safely - they're about parents advertising their fertility. It's the polite equivalent of dangling your genitals out of the car window, and shouting "Look! I have reproduced!"

I get most annoyed when people using these stickers dawdle along at 15mph in front of you when they have just dangerously exited out of a previous junction in front of you.

Its all very well them telling everyone else to be careful but often they are quite hypocritical by causing their own dangers too.

cheap from someone with no children, and never likely to

So true

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

The "Baby On Board" signs were originaly supposed to be in the car window in case of an accident so the rescue crews knew to look for childrens bodys in the wreckage.

That's what I thought as well.........

.......I believe you are meant to remove the sticker when there is no child on board. Thing is, most cars I see with these are people carriers driven by witless bints on the school run. The only time you actually see it is when the dopey mothers sail straight across a roundabout in front of you, because they didn't see you as they were too busy talking on their mobile and looking over their shoulder telling their badly behaved offspring to shut up

As for making other drivers take note and drive more courteously; I do drive with respect for other road users, hence it should not make any difference to me if the car in front has a child on board - ie I would always extend others the same courtesy regardless.

The safety of a child in a car (or any other passenger for that matter) is the sole responsibility of the driver of that car IMO.......so to all those mothers mentioned above; get off the phone, concentrate on driving and don't expect other drivers to make allowances for your bad driving just because your children are in the car - their safety is in your hands and no-one elses!

Chill out bud, it was a quote from someone else and it's only meant in jest.

Just me and the old DOG in my van. I would post a pic but got pissed after work...

My mum (Irish and mad as a hatter) bought me a sticker years back, which i had in the back of my Audi coupe surfmobile for a while....It Read "My tyres are Knackered, and my Knackers are tired"!!...

...Not alot has changed since i sold that car!!

LOL, I've just seen another. An overweight bleached blonde stalling her 206 at the lights just now; kangarooing all over the place, I look over...and what do I see. 'Babe on board' sticker in the window. I dunno what was more funny, her enthusiastic kangarooing as she struggled to relate clutch pedal to accelerator pedal, or the incorrect description of her sticker.

wowa, not going through all the posts here but here's a message to all "baby on board" stickers. **** off

NB, I bet all these so called 'babes' have tribal graphics on their backs too! LOL

I've got kids too Greg, but these stickers really annoy me, as already said, as if it's going to make me drive any differently. I drive like miss daisy all the time so i'm told. they're just a free gift with pampers, peo

ple don't actually buy them do they?

One mans junk, is another mans gold.

and no one should have the right to mock either for having it or throwing it.

and i agree totally, i would like to hear some of the comments made here from the people in a few years when they have children, or grandchildren.

it may or may not work to help protect your child, but if you cant care enough to put a small badge on your car, then how will you manage with bigger issues.

for the record, i dont have one,m and never did, my children are grown up thankfully, they grew up safe and well.

and i agree with someone else here too, if i see a badge like this, i do pay more attention than normal.

but this has backed my thoughts about the problems when just anyone has children

lost me there mate

Well I must ask all those who say that cars should not have "Baby on board" Stickers..................

What difference does it make. You aint got to sit there staring at it. Look at the number plate. If it said "Fook all jap car drivers" then I would agree. But baby on board???? Why let something that has fook all to do with you annoy you so much. I dont like pink cars but Someone does. I dont like real ale but someone does. I dont like................well you should be able to catch my drift by now.

ease up.
