Well, not stickers as such, but these things...

Apart from being dreadfully tasteless, one thing I noticed today and have noticed for quite a while now, is not one single woman driving their cars adorning these things is ever in the remotest bit attractive.

Usually heavily made up overweight blimps with fag ash all down the doors and a rack of nasty Elizabeth Duke creole earings.

Its to remind arseholes who decide to ride right on your rear bumper, that they are not only putting your life in danger but also your childs.

The stickers are crap. Do you really believe someone irresponsible enough to tailgate is going to become responsible, just because someone's got a Baby On Board sticker?

Why the feck should someone drive *more* carefully than normal because there is a junior human being in the car in front?? Does it follow that if you see an old granny in a car it's fine to ram her up the bumpers??

It's nonsensical. Everyone should drive carefully all the time, regardless of the ages of passengers in other vehicles.

Someone on Room 101 once said about Baby on Board stickers:

"They're not really about driving safely - they're about parents advertising their fertility. It's the polite equivalent of dangling your genitals out of the car window, and shouting "Look! I have reproduced!"

I get most annoyed when people using these stickers dawdle along at 15mph in front of you when they have just dangerously exited out of a previous junction in front of you.

Its all very well them telling everyone else to be careful but often they are quite hypocritical by causing their own dangers too.

My opinion exactly. Well said.

I do have a sticker in the back of my car b ut its not like that.

It isnt obvious at first but I like it that way, subtle and to the point.

It reads "GET IN, SIT DOWN, SHUT UP & HOLD ON"

Isn't that the slogan the Nova owners used to have on the bottoms of their number plates? I swear it was. hehe ;)

The "Baby On Board" signs were originaly supposed to be in the car window in case of an accident so the rescue crews knew to look for childrens bodys in the wreckage.

I dont know but if you dare to put that slogan on anything like a NOVA then you deserve to go to prison. Get in......? OK Sit down.....? Yes thats natural. Shut up.............? taking the piss out of my car. I can see that. But hold on....? WHY? are we going to actaully move then?

There is some virtue in 'baby on board' as it might let emergency services know they needed to search the wreckage for a tot in the event of an accident.

If the crash was that bad, then I somehow doubt that a flimsy bit of plastic that's suction-popped to the window would be anywhere near the vicinity of the vehicle?
