When i finally get the zed back im going to treat it to a new exhaust to get rid of the ugly single exit kakimoto thing!

The exhaust im getting is available with either an 'x-pipe' or a 'h-pipe'...

Can any1 advise on what the differences would be between the 2?... sound?... performance?

The 'h-pipe' is marginally more expensive than the 'x-pipe' but it does state that... 'Our resonated h-pipes feature the use of larger, quieter, and more costly resonators than that of an x-pipes resonator'... so i guess this is the reason for that.

The stock system uses a H pipe, and seems to be designed to reduce low rpm drone (2000-3000rpm is where you hear it the most) that the v6 suffers with whereas the X-pipe is going to be louder and better for performance.

The X pipe have a slightly different sound. I would go for one strictly for the performance benefit - Why would you want an exhaust with right angle bends if you had the choice - the target is to remove the exhaust gasses ASAP.

...any advances on 'buy the x-pipe you muppet'?? :p

taking into consideration the fact this zed isnt being used as a daily drive... the noise factor is fairly irrelevant... the pendulum is swinging... more power, less money! your making sense andy :)

well..if its not a daily driver and you dont mind it being loud then definatly get the X-pipe....it sounds fantastic !!

Thats the setup chunk had when he won best sounding exhaust at JAE 2005, and I followed him for about 3 days through most of france and belgium with my jaw dropped as the noise was incredible !

..it was very loud though, I could tell every single little press/depress he made on the accelerator.

p.s Chunks was made by Alunox

It doesn't have to be that loud - it's down to the silencers.
