Well it took untill i was 33, but the sneaky mobile van may have finally got me. On my way back from lunch on a dual carridgeway went past a truck and then i spotted it too late. DOH.

Ive managed to be lucky several times before, i got a feeling my luck just ran out.

Lucky I wasnt in my Z its so loud even if he/she was a sleep he would of had time to wake up and set him/herself on the camera lol

first time you will be offered to go on an awareness course, instead of taking the 3points.

Or he could have his fancy women in the back for a bit of you know what.

Marcus,

Right here is what you must ask in your letter to them if you get a letter stating you were speeding and asking for information.

Don't fill in the form as to do so is to addmit libility. Just start your letter by saying that the car is yours, that you were driving it on that day, that you saw the van and that you kept your speed within the speed limit. Give them details of your insurance and driver licence number, but do not surrender your licence to the courts.

Then Say that if the intend to persue this allogation could they furnish you with the following information so as to assist you with preparing your deffence.

1) What equipement was being used and the serial number of the actual equipment used in this instance.

2) A copy of the manufacturers opperation manual and not the UK distributors

3) Information as to How the equipment was mounted

4) What were the weather conditions on that day and in particular the maximum wind speeds.

5) The means buy which the van was made static, ie outrigger arms etc.

6) Where were the opperators in the van and what were they doing.

7) Copies of the equipments daily caliberation sheets

8) The means used to position the Van and therefore camera to ensure that paning did not occure. ie equipment used for this and calibration figures.

Only if he was doing under 40 in a 30 limit will he be offered that iirc. I've been on a speed awareness course.

The course is open to the general public but the vast majority of attendees are those caught driving a little over the speed limit, the so-called "low end speeders".

rubbish, if you were obiding the law there wouldn't be a problem, imo by breaking the speed limit you are accepting the consequences of it there and then.

thats a good thing right  :wack:

I ignored mine, did this to them when they weren't looking

and they haven't dragged me off yet 5 months later.

Just bin the letter, they will send you another, bin that one as well.

dont tell everyone but when you get your letter dont send your licence just send a cheque for £61 then they will send you a cheque back for the overpayment of the pound...throw theis cheque away dont cash it

it appears on their computers that the fine has been paid and they wont hassle you for you licence this has worked for me twice now and its been over 3 years ago ...dodgy i know but it does work

that worked for me too but it only tends to work if your in a fleet car or a vehicle thats not registered to yourself

Cheers ;)

For the record, I have no problem with people speeding (unless its in a built up area/school zone!), just those who whinge about it when they get caught.

In this case though, S-tune has not moaned about it, tried to claim the system is *****cks, suggested that the police are ****s, the limit was too low, or anything.

i did call them sneaky though, but thats beacus ive never seen one by a school or a built up area. they are always near dual carridgeways where the speed limit changes.

that worked for me too but it only tends to work if your in a fleet car or a vehicle thats not registered to yourself

In my Zed, but no way was I doing the speed they said at that point, I tried and couldn't so I ignored them and hoped for the best.

Seems to have done the trick so far.

Take a look here best advice on all the goings on with precedents as well...http://www.pepipoo.com
