Gazza is right BTW, Martyn's Dad is not well at all at the moment, so it might be best to give him a bit of breathing space, if you can...

No offense guys, but Martyn's dad has not been well for almost a year now and although I do sympathise and wish him all the best, He has had my car since Feb 2006. So he has had plenty of breathing space from me. So many times I have been told it will be ready by next Month, then next week (hence my signature). The last I heard a month ago it was going in for it's MOT, now I can't get in touch with him at all.

 

If anyone has spoken to Martyn or is planning on going to his garage soon, can you get in touch as my patience has now deteriated and I'm going to have to look at legal action soon if I don't hear from him.

i dont envy the bloke as he travels down to hastings 2 or 3 times a wk and stays at wkends,so his time is little on the car front i think,

 

sw1 i no how u feel mate and it must be testing yr patience big time.

martyn was coming to mine on route to his to sort my boost leak out but i think he,s still with his dad plus im in no rush,think my engine is fooked so he was going to check that out as well.

hiya, i know how you feel, but it makes it difficult , martyn is a really nice guy, and im told a genius with the spanners, also i get the impression his business partner left him in the smelly stuff as well but i dont know all the ins and outs, it would be so much easier if he was a right toss-r but he is not, i guess whats needed is to find out who has cars with him and try between all of us and martyn agree which maybe are at the top of the list, sounds crazy but i guess all of us are hassling him daily -you get the picture.....if he can only spend small timea week.....maybe better we all know whos car is in the kew 1st etc etc, this might make life easier for martyn as well and this way maybe it would work for all concerned......i dunno crazy idea...but martyn is a good guy and i know does not want his reputation tarnished but at the same time

i may have been the last bloke to actually get my car finished and returned by mart back in jan...as you say he's a nice enough fella and it was a top job no question...but since he went up't north he doesnt answer the phone to me or anyone else i knew who used him so i've given up and gone elsewhere....i know a guy who's been trying since jan to get mart on the phone and his car has been with mart for 2 years now!!!...its not right or fair on folk to expect them to wait so long with no answers or promises that come to nothing....as to the impression you get about his bizz partner leaving him in the s1ht...you're very very wrong...ask him yourself he posts on here a lot

I hope by business partner he is not referring to me as I am still owed a considerable amount of money by him and two cars!

 

I will not go into the details of why I left but I think the main reason is coming to the fore in this thread and the final straw was to find out I was being used as an excuse for people not getting their cars back!

Hopefully mst of you have had a text from Martyn this morning. I'm not sure what provoked this but according to the text he sent me, he will be away this weekend and back to work on Monday.

 

He has promised that my car will be ready for collection / delivery next week. However I have been hearing this story for the last three months.

 

I will try and get in contact with him by actually speaking to him rather than text messages. But it seems like he turned his phone on just before 8am this morning, sent a bunch of texts and then turned it off again.

 

One way or another I will be getting my car back by the end of next week, finished or not.

yup, I got a quick update this morning too

I have spoken to Martyn in person this morning.

His dad is on life support at the moment, so he will be spending the rest of the weekend down south, then returning to his garage on Monday.

 

I have asked about a few of your cars. Martyn says he has spoken to Carl. Paul, you will need to contact him as there is a misunderstanding about your car. James, when he brings mne down he will be coming to you.

 

His phone will be off for the rest of the weekend as he is spending time with his dad, but you should be able to contact him on Monday morning.

Sorry to keep pulling this post up again, but I'm in desperation now.

 

I've had no contact from martyn since I told him I wanted my car back finished or not.

 

Has anyone spoken to him. I really don't know what to do about this situation I'm in.

I've spent 5 years and close to £60k on the car and I don't even know where it is or what state it's in.

 

I would go up there, but with the baby being due real soon, I can't really risk leaving the wife in london while I travel up north for a day.

 

If you have spoken to him recently or are going up there to visit him or collectyour car or anything please get in touch as I'm feeling a little desprate now and could do with any information I can get.

bloody hell Stu, hope you get this sorted. must feel right pissed off :(
