Did anyone watch the qualifying of the Hungarian Grand Prix? IMHO, that pitlane holdup was totally to stop Hamilton getting another lap in. What makes it worse is that Alonzo managed to take poll from Lewis on that final run!

What a tw@, he is just a bad loser, all season Hamilton has had hin beaten, why can't he accept the factc that he isn't the best driver anynore?? tosser

To do it to his team mate aswell.. You could maybe understand his motives if it was a Ferrari he held up.. Now Mclaren get no constructor points today :xxx: *ANKER!!

But if he was following orders, it makes you wonder where the order came from.. RD

Hamilton is on top with most points so if anything that "strategy" should've been applied the other way around.

look at it this way.senna would have done that in a hearbeat to gain an advantage and just thinking he did alot worse lol.. Have to say in germany alonso drove brilliantly but what he done yesterday showed him in a whole different light. I remember him bitching about schumacher last year..how things change

but is it Justice?

Should Alonso be punished by the stewards for what was clearly a team problem and did not involve any other team?

Should McLaren suffer losing constructor points because of this?

Are the FIA once again toadying to Ferrari and giving them a chance to catch up?

A very valid point, should have been dealt with internally within McLaren IMHO, now there losing constructors points.........................

to much politics me thinks

At the end of the day, it's not up to the teams is it really. They can't just turn round and make decisions for the FIA like that.

I disagree :) I think the FIA are being heavey handed in this matter it did not involve anyone else except Mclaren, Alonso lost position I think thats fair, but they will not be able to collect constructors points or trophy ?? very unfair

Seems like an olive branch to Ferrari due to recent events just MHO though :)

I agree with the lack of constructor points yes.

BTW! Hamilton wins!!

Just watched the interview with Ron Dennis, He looked worn out. You can tell by what he was saying that there are a lot of internal issues, espectially between Alonzo & Lewis.

its not all alonso, lewis didn't do what he was supposed to do beforehand, which apparently messed things up to start.

Ron Dennis said, Neither Lewis or Alonzo are blameless.

I can imagine that off camera, lewis, is a little bit cocky and full of himself.

IIRC one time Barichello was leading the race and just before the final lap he let Shumi overtake him.

After the race in the interview he said that he didn't want to do it but those were the team orders in which they

said that Shumacher was so far ahead of him in points that it would be a mistake to give the team rivals a chance to catch up to him.

Now even then it was debatable if he should have let him pass or not but at least you can see the logic behind it, so why in the hell should Hamilton jeopardise his

chances of winning the GP when there was absolutely no reason whatsoever to let Alonso get past. Heavy fuel load? My arse, sounds more like favouritism.

IMO Alonso reacted in a childish and unprofesional manner. They don't have to obbey team orders.

Even on camera he is not just a bit cocky

Being interviewed (after the I think it was the Monaco race) he stated"that you didn't have a chance of winning if you started amongst the monkeys at the back of the grid"

And this is just after a few races god knows what he will be like after the end of this season

i am sick of hearing about Hamilton thats all they go on about, someone else wins the grand prix and hamilton comes eight and all they talk about is hamilton no stop, what about the guy who has just won. he is good a cocky git (but who wouldn't) but the way the media are constantly going on and on about him its going to end bad

Its called motor racing, they are all in it to win it, and if there are no team orders your going to do what you can to stop the other guy (s) winning thats the name of the game your not going to get anywhere being a Gentleman. Too many safety issue's to have any chance of having a good battle and win races through pure Driver ability these days, so they are forced to use other tactics to win, some may call it un gentlemenly or cheating, its a race ffs. Bring back slicks i say, lets see some real racing that will sort the men from the boys!

It's the same with any sport though...most people are always interested in the native person winning, same with Tennis. Even though Tim Henman isnt that good, he used to get so much coverage.

I am happy to hear about Hamilton TBH, it's so nice to see a top F1 guy doing battle on a really serious level. Bit like the old Senna/Mansell days.

F1 is back to being exciting again! :duffer:
