My car's been in with ZTech now for six weeks. I haven't heard a bean from Ryan for ages. Ryan's normally ok at getting back to people and I know ZTech were on holiday last week, but I've left him messages every day this week and not one call back. I decided to visit them today to see if I could get some kind of update on my car and at 15:30 the place was deserted and all locked up! :confused:

 

Does anyone know what's going on with those guys and how I can find out where my car is? I'm starting to miss her... :cry:

The number you have for Ryan is the Ztech phone number, and should still be the number to ring. Craig said he would be in charge of that number as of this week.

Im pop past there most times once a week and theres allways someone there when ive been down.

 

Sometimes its only the younger bloke down there and not craig.

 

Give me some details on your cars and the next time im down which will most likely be this week ill stop in and see if they are there or not lads.

Mine's a pearlescent white H reg TT - in for some bodykit work, respray, new clutch and general service bits and bobs.

what a nightmare, cant believe the thread seems so light hearted, if this was my zed i would be going barmy. whoever has bought or sold this place needs to be phoning everyone with a zed there to let them Know whats happening. If the new owner cant get on top of that then that doesnt looK good for the future. The main thing if there is going to be a delay on any job is communication. How come garages seem to be able to get away with just about anything, if i did this in my job i wouldnt get any worK!! feel sorry for you lads.

Think after one week of non contact/being ignored I'd be over there with some people to reclaim my car wether the place was locked up or not.

I only used Ztech once, when Greg was still there, and they were a very helpful bunch of guys, I am/was planning to use them for my 60k service so I'm also interested in what their situation is.

Surely there has got to be better alternatives to ZTECH which in the last 12 months seems to have accrued some serious bad history, which even new ownership will struggle to overcome unless they really get their game together, which by the sound of they have not. I think all those affected should gather enmasse at the premises in the week and if no show, contact the police for an address of the owners.

As paul say's. I don't know how long this has been in the planning. But Chris only took over the place at weekend so we got to give him a chance. You really don't want to know how long my car has been there and back, But i cant really complain as i got some things brand new which i din't have to pay for and ryan has honour'd the warranty. As is the new owner. let's give him a chance before getting the witch hunt going.

Maybe Chris could of come on here straight away to set the record straight but i'm sure he has lots to sort out,

I just had a call from Craig. The Ztech mobile phone is now back on now and in his possession. Ok, so it seems absolutely nothing has been done on my car, but at least they are starting to ring around customers now to update with what's going on.

They're having a really tough time trying to pick up the threads of the business from Ryan who is now switched off to the business and not giving much info to the new owners!!!! :(

 

They only actually took over on Sunday but tell me they are ready and able to take on new work as it comes in. It shows they have put a lot of hours in the last couple of days if they are already able to take new bookings.

 

SIXPENZ - I didn't see your car but was told it was at Craigs and they are waiting for quotes back from suppliers for your interior.

 

GARYZ - Your car wasn't there either, I was told it was at the paint shop, so that's encouraging.

 

SCUBIE - I asked Chris to phone you this afternoon. He has your number and said he would call you.

 

IMPORTANT - THE TELEPHONE NUMBER FOR ZTECH IS STILL 07766 996946 AS SHOWN ON THEIR WEB SITE. I suggest you all three phone them NOW to find out the situation with your cars for yourselves, first hand.

Dave thanks for the update - pretty much ties up with what Craig told me on the phone. Didn't mention it was in the paint shop, so that's progress :) I really appreciate the help people have been giving and have offered.

 

Damn shame you can't share Chris's Zed with us, but I did a similar thing on my mate's 18th birthday. He was up on the table at our local and doing other drunk guy stuff and I took loads of quality pics only to find out the next morning that my camera had no film in it.

 

To be honest with a hangover like I had it was the least of my worries... :hurl:

As said they've got a lot to sort out yet so let's give them a chance.
