Straight bolt in mate. Just replaced my UK set with a reconditioned Jap set and fitted perfectly.

Ahh good point! I fitted HID's so it didnt concern me.

I think the fitment is the same but the Jap has 2 wires where as UK only has 1.

That is down to the connectors in the car's wiring loom, is it not?

 

H3 and H3C bulbs have the same shape metal base, therefore both types fit in the socket built into the lamp housing.

 

The difference is the connecting plugs between the car and the light itself IIRC.

Yes you can. Buy a regular H3 bulb, solder on a second lead (onto the metal base) with spade a connector at the other end and plug them into the stock bulb connector. Alternatively give me a shout and I can supply you with a pair of Jap-spec H3C bulbs (uprated too!) Or uprated H3 bulbs. Or a HID kit for that matter! ;)
