I wasn't going to put any phots up until I'd finished doing some little jobs and gave it a wash but I took some for someone tonight so thought I'd post them.

I've got some replacements trims and other bits to make it pukka. I got it from the guy who was off to Miami . It had no MOT so he didn't get much interest and had dropped his price from 4k to £2600 as he was leaving in two days. I said I would come with the cash to look if he put it through the MOT. It failed on a tyre and front brake pads so I went up to take a look :) It had loads of history including £2700 for new turbos, a new oem rad £270, and a load of other stuff including the original dealers letter and a bunch of Zed club mags from the previous enthusiast owner :hyper: It was the first UK one I've really looked at and had a bit of rust around the arches but looked good otherwise. The milage is 120k which I suppose is quite high, but its runs spot on, pulls well, and has new turbos so well worth it. All the air-con works well which is a first in one of my cars! It also has a DVD player to distract me in traffic! It has all the original nissan floor mats, targa covers, targa shades, tool box, etc, etc.

I took it into the garage and got a couple of new front tyres as the other one was getting low as well, new pads all round and got them to MOT it. It failed on some rear suspension bushes so I had to wait a couple of weeks for them to be ordered. It was stalling once in a while at idle or whilst doing 3 point turns so I got the throttle bodies cleaned up and that has pretty much sorted it. I've got another idle control valve to go on but havn't fitted it as its not really needed. I got the clutch replaced as it was feeling ropey at high revs. That was £500 and including the MOT work and some other bits I've replaced I've spent about a grand. It now has 12mths MOT on it and I reckon its worth £3500-4000. So what I paid plus what I've spent getting everything right over the last month or two and it basically owes me what I might get for it if I sell it again, and I can be confident that everything is right on it :hyper: Its really nice having such a good standard car. My last one was heavily modded so completely different and my first one was just a shed! This one is great so I'm very chuffed.

Its good having a nice car for doing journeys in. My old BMW was very reliable but wasn't particularly luxurious as it didn't have aircon or anything like that.

I've put it up for sale as I've started drifting the Rx7 and could do with a towing car again, or maybe just a 200 to learn in which would be easier to maintain than the Rex. Ideally I'd keep this but I havn't got enough space for more cars as we are in rented accom. In the meantime I'll keep making it better and hopefully the sun will come out so I can enjoy the roof off action. This one is staying bog standard as I've got a new found appreciation for what Nissan intended :nana2: Hope I havn't bored everyone to much! I'll take some decent photos in the week.

Now there's a man who has a choice !

Nice looking car Dave - question is which one's coming to RS4, or are you bringing both along? ;)

Probably the Rex mate as I'll be drifting it :) so long as I've got a supply of tyres! Tempted to get the missus to drive the Zed like at Japshow haha.
