kirbz will probably be the best person to ask.

Then there's shipping, duty, licencing etc ontop of that I'd imagine. So closer to £13k - £14k once on the road?

a little dearer than i thought, i will have to do some thinking, are they worth it after all you could buy a really nice 97 for half that, my ideal 99 spec would be tt manual, low milage, pearl white,

IMHO you're wasting your money paying over £10K

A clean '96 would cost you half what you'd pay for a '99 and TBH, there isn't that much difference. What difference there is, you could upgrade yourself for about £1000. (rear lights, bumper & spoiler)

Don't forget, a '99 spec is now 8 years old, so it's not a new car anymore.

With the genuine 99spec turbo you get the HIDs as standard they are £1k+ on their own :nelson:

Add in the cost of what you have mentioned the front fascia, additional chassis stiffening, the startlingly accurate boost gauge is back, plus the fact I have seen some ones with around 10k km's going through the auctions means I'd certainly be looking at one if it was possible to bring to the mainland!

vrt approx 2880 euro, @dave i just missed a nice one yesterday, 1989 white tt uk manual in the north 2,500 euro, even with vrt a cheap car, the seller said it went south not sure where

I'd happily pay £10K for a 99 manual tt.

There's more than the obvious cosmentic differences - better brakes and stiffer chassis for example.

Agreed. I'd pay £10k for a good 99-spec TT manual. Good 96/97 TT Manuals models are still going for close to £7k!

Completely agree. I'd certainly consider paying 10k for a 99spec. All you want straight out of the box, easy life and no ripping into it doing amateur mods/paint jobs etc.

Can't see a grade 4 or 5 '99 spec TT manual going for £10K TBH.

Like has already been said, by the time you add on all the import tarriffs etc., it may end up being £13-£14K

Trish i would advise having a look on IBC's website.Register as a user and use a japan yen account adn there are some bargains to be had! A friend imported a starlet gi with them and had no trouble!
