My thoughts too.

Whilst I agree that petrol in the UK is overpriced, most people (not me though) have been brain-washed by the green lobby. So ironically they would probably now support the high prices because their namby pamby liberal conscience just won't let them think otherwise.

Plus my employer pays for all of my personal fuel (yes, for the ZX too) so I don't care ;)

Richard :D

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Exactly. Fuel costs will never come down and stay down. Futile IMHO. Maybe that sounds defeatest, but it isn't. It's reality whether we like it or not.

My thoughts too.

Can we all nipp round for a quick fill up then.

The only protest I would take part in would be one were no one uses there car for a day. My idea would be that we all use public transport or stay at home. This way all the tax that is gained from fuel every day would be lost.

In reality it would bring the country to a stand still because public transport would not cope. At least this would prove one thing to the government and the greens. The public transport system is not good enough for us all to use.

Top idea... How many people do you think would actually do it though, not many I'm guessing!!

I agree, but it worked in 1988 when Poll Tax was abolished. It also worked in France. We've become a defeatist Nation compared to others. If Americans were suddenly told that gas prices were to go up five-fold, I don't think they would take our attitude of "oh well, that's life." In the 60's, people would go nuts if bread prices rose by a penny FFS!
