Right then folks Now Athene is REO (well no-one else wanted it), This meet is still on, provisionally for the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of September. I need some definate yes or no's for this so I know how many to book camping etc for.

 

I'll have to check on ferry pricing probably best if you come over earl ish saturday, plus will only have to pay for 1 nights camping then, I'm trying to keep the price down as some people might think it gets a bit expensive.

Yarmouth?? most people will be coming southampton to Cowes mate, About 40 quid cheaper on that route.

 

Cowes.....oh, yeah, I remember, yatchs and toffs :D OK, 9.15 @ Cowes it is, bit closer to Fishbourne, I think...but I could be wrong....again

9am in southampton....:eek: I'll have to leave the house by 6:30am

 

At the minute Im going to have to stay provisional....it all depends on progress I make with the slicktop over the next week, and then hopefully I can commit.

Sorry to be a pain folks, but before I go and book this ferry, I know there were various comments made about changing the date, so can I just confirm we are talking about Saturday 1st./Sunday 2nd. September.

Date is still the same - 1st / 2nd September!!

I doubt you will get definate answers - I think we should get a time say 10am and who ever wants to come to the IOW - will meet on the island at 10am (make a meeting point near the ferry's)

I know Athene but I will need to book campsites, tables for meals etc. It would help if I had a list of people who WILL come rather than a list of maybe's

OK Matey, we're booked on the 9.00am ferry from Pompey, so I should be at Cowes Ferry by 10am at the latest. As said previously, we're only over for the Saturday, return ferry at 10pm. Looking forward to a meeting up with familiar faces and putting faces to everyone else - it'll be a good day out :hyper:

I still can not be certain whether I will be coming or not, a lot will depend on the weather so I wont be making a final decision until nearer the date.

 

Camping is not really my forte although I would give it a try if the weather is promising. I've got a two man tent and some basic gear that would see me through one night but I'm not really sure about it yet.

 

If I don't camp I would probably come over for one day, but whether that is Saturday or Sunday would depend on the planned programme. Have you got a timetable in mind, Scotty?

This is 1st/2nd Sept, camping over for 1 night. You can come with me, I have already booked the ferry (1 car 1 person) so you will have to book your place, as a foot passenger, the booking link is earlier on in this thread. Let me know if your coming with me.
