I would like to make a suggestion. It appears that where I live in Bedford we seem to be nominated as in the "south east" region. Now this is OK but to be honest when I look at venues that are arranged by the REO they seem to be in Brighton or anywhere south of or in the area of London/Essex. I feel that I would rather be included in the midlands region if possible as they have meetings ect nearer to me? It would take me hours to join a meeting in Brighton or south of London but to join a meeting in even Nottingham would be less than 1 & half hour to get to. I am not sure how anyone else around here is concerned?

Maybe even the possibility of starting another region for the Anglia region/area? which could include Ipswich, Norwich, Colchester, Bedford, Milton Keynes, Luton, Stevenage and anywhere around these areas. Because we seem to be a bit far from the run of the mill regional meetings.

*This is only an idea so dont shoot me but what do you think?*

I await your responce of both those involved and those not.

Sounds like a good idea to me, I have often looked to see whats happening and there has been nothing within 150 miles of Ipswich, perhaps we could organise something for this Sunday as well seeing as its the only one I have off in the foreseeable future???

My unfortunate position is that I need to give an un-amount of notice to have a weekend off. Mid week NP but Saturday and Sunday are the busiest times for us. The other thing is that if I dont book it off I dont know until Friday afternoon what i am doing so if there is little work that weekend then I have no time to make arrangements. Still noone said it was going to be easy. If you are interested then there is going to be a mini meet arranged for a few Sundays time around the Colchester area? Gazza's manner. and that would be good. If we could come up with a date then I can see about booking it?

Thanks bud.

It's good idea but there isn't anthing stopping you going to any of the meets. You don't have to be a member of that area.

Does this mean you will be theREO for this new region?

I have organised a meet for the Luton area on the 11th of august. Have a look at my sig for the details.

For me, I have to work at least 75% of weekends throughout the year, I also have children and other commitments and sitting in a car for hours driving to and from a meet is something I just cant justify to myself no matter how much I would love to see other cars and also show mine off. Having meets fairly regularly and fairly local would be good but I can also see that the smaller these regions become the less people there will be participating in each meet making it harder for people to organise and get a decent turnout. I guess I will just have to keep a look out and hope something happens on a weekend I am off within 100 miles.

I would take great joy in becoming the REO for an Anglian region but as I said I cant make it to all the meets and that might be a bit hypocritical? Arranging and not attending?

I see what you are saying mate and agree but if it means more local members can get out it wouldnt be such a bad thing. The good thing about these type of questions is the feedback. And you have a very good point.

I dont know the area, but Im also not sure a whole new forum section is needed. Most of the regions suffer the same problem, but you dont have to just have a single monthly arranged meet by your REO, you can just as easily arrange your own meets seperatly, with or withouth REO assistance within the region.

South west section is a nightmare for this....its 250 miles / 4 hours between the two furtherst Southwest Region points.

Be good if I could have a quick conzult. Car has started to not boost on occasion.

What does it do when it goes into safety boost.
