Right first off,

1st: My speedo has given up the ghost, so has the milometer. I spoke to duffers about it and he advised me it was dry joints on the back of the speedo which will need re-soldering. Has anyone got a picture of what Im looking at fixing please? Is there anyway of checking that its not the speed sensor before taking the clocks out first? Steering gets heavy whilst driving also but sorts itself out after turning the ignition on. Fluids are all fine.

2nd: What colour wire is the horn behind the steering wheel? Ive taken of my steering wheel and cant find a spare wire anywhere and TBH dont really know what colour im looking for, I have to add a spade wire to it and connect it to the rear of the momo wheel so need to find it out before i attach it again.

3rd: What colour are the cruise control wires? Are they the three wires conected to the tiny black box right at the bottom of the white surround? Im relocating it somewhere so need to run extensions from these first.

I can grab some pictures if needed but I have two spare plates with the wires coming off to the white connector but rather then try a hit and miss job want to get it right first time.

ANY pictures of what im looking at would be great please!

Thanks a million :D

can probably do pics for you tomorrow mate if I can get me camera working, just want to clarify 1 thing with you though, in No1 you say steering is heavy when driving but goes ok when ignition is turned on, do you mean heavy while coasting but ok when driving coz I would think thats normal with the power stearing or am i reading/understanding wrong??

Hi pete,

What happens is ill be driving along... anywhere really and all of a sudden the steering go`s heavy like theres no power steering, notg the easing up that it does when you coast along but sudden loss of power steering, if i turn the ignition off whilst driving then straight back on it clears and is back to normal.

Pics would be great fella :D

Also If someone could show me in person thats not a million miles away and can spare a few minutes tomorow then I dont mind popping along.

cant help you with the power steering problem mate but Ill try and get the pics up for you

Regards

Pete

Sorry for the shameless BUMP but my cars in pieces so really need to get this done as soon as.

Think ive sorted the cruise wires, they are the 3 wires that come out of the black box going by pictures ive seen so just the horn wire colour and a picture of what i need to solder or any over checks to see if it needs soldering or if its the speed sensor.

Cheers
