Thats a very cool calculation. According to this your making 268 BHP.

BTW, the HP figure is WHEEL bhp.

ok, i think that a standard gto weighs

3793 pounds.

- except i had about 40litres of fuel in the car. 40kg?

- plus big heavy 18inch alloys - an extra 30kg maybe?

- plus my big 75kg ass.

- plus the rear whale tale. 5kg?

so plus about 150kg . so, times that by 2.2 i think to get you pounds. = 330 pounds more.

so 4123pounds in weight at a rough guess.

so 273 bhp at the wheels - and thats at only 6psi.

but then again that doesnt really work.

because if you consider the guy that was there [johnnewcombe was it?] who had a 450 bhp ZX and ran in the mid 13's then that only works out to about 290bhp. and he's sposed to have over 400.

a z weighs 1570 kg, plus 80 for the person, plus say 30 for gas and a bit more for whatever, your looking at 1700kg times 2.2 = 3740 pounds. put in 13.5 into that table and you only get 300bhp. WTF!

or put in 14.5, which is a rough guess over what a stock zed might run and you get 240bhp.

don;t think that is very accurate.

it is bang on accurate in theory. But your not taking into account

A: your driving

B: weather

C: track grip

4: The condition of your tyres

so it wont give an exact figure, but according to your trap speed of 94 mph (this is the best indication of how much power you are making) the figure of around 268 wheel bhp was right.

The 'calculator' is bolleaux.

It is guess work stuff, the 'calculation' behind it is bogus.
