Just looked at the ad properly and I recognise the car, it use to be Yellow and belong to PK1 if that helps.

O' right??

I don't recall the car.. Probably why the owner isn't sending me any engine bay pics, because it's yellow.

Nooooooooooo :nono:

Why would the stupid f*cker do that to a previously good Z????????

Should have his arse removed for that :hurl:

Richard

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I have just got off the phone to the seller and he is away till Wednesday so it cant be viewed, I thought that when the car was owned by PK1 that it was in good condition, maybe someone that had seen it can confirm that but the seller told me that the body was in poor condition when he got it, hence the respray so maybe whoever owned it between PK1 and this guy abused it???

Thanks very much for enquiring about it.. Very strange to have a car on auction, and not even be at home for viewings

Doesn't sound too hopeful for the engine being in a well cared for condition does it

Maybe he is hoping someone will just bid on it to buy without seeing it..

Do you think from the sounds of what the seller had to say it's still worth viewing?

I very much appreciate your help Suffolkzx.. Many thanks.

He sounded like a bit of a "geezer", just started a new business and was very keen to point out that he had spent thousands on the paint and interior in the last few months but then why sell it for such a low price? It stands to reason that if the bodywork was abused the engine was as well I guess.

He did say if its not sold on ebay I can view it from Wednesday onwards.

O' right, so he is hoping someone will bid on it to buy, without viewing.. Unfortunately, I'm not too fussed about the bodywork, as it will be re-painted anyway.

Well, I'll have to see if it ends with no bids, which I think is most likely, and get back to you to see if a viewing can be arranged later in the week, if that's OK with you?..

Many thanks for your help mate, very much appreciated :D

I can view it Thursday or at the weekend if its still for sale, having looked into it a bit further it seems he is the person that bought it from PK1, perhaps someone can confirm that it was good body wise when he sold it as I thought it was, that means he is not telling the whole truth about why it was resprayed??

Oh, that's odd then.. Although I really don't remeber the car, maybe before my time on here?

If it's still for sale, that would be great if you could view it for me.. It may be a good base for a wide arch conversion, it really depends on the mechanics of the car.. I wouldn't be looking to do an engine re-build, or anything like that.

I will have a search to see what I can find out about the car.. I believe PK1 is now banned

Many thanks!!

If I can, I will ;) ... But not if it's a heap of crap ;)

If you want I can see if I can get hold of PK1, he is usually on MSN (but not online now) and if he's ok about it can pass on his contact details to you, he had the car for a couple of years so would be the ideal person to get the lowdown on it.

Im pretty sure greg has worked on it as well.

This car was on ebay about a month ago, cant remember the out come now

could the outcome been not sold!

I think its a bargain that sort of money for a swb manual TT, paint work, spoiler, exhaust is just cosmetic to me as long as its mechanicaly sound

Hi,

Is this the car before?

carr-1.jpg

Yes that is the same car, hard to believe really that someone would change it to the eyesore it is now.

I know when Simon had it some of the lacquer was coming off in places. As it was pearlescent yellow it was gonna cost ££££'S to respray back to the original colour but other than that it was a tidy car and let's not forget its a SWB SLICKTOP MANUAL TT

I took this picture exactly a year ago in Swansea Car show...........

iv worked on it! IIRC the chassis is fine no real rot! then again this was around 18months ago maybe more. engine was sweet then aswell, and si was always one for looking after his cars!

I believe PK1 is now banned

Eh!??? Is that right, what for ??

Hi bud, not been able to read pm's for over a month now and not sure why so I disabled them to stop people thinking I am ignoring them. I will contact him tonight and see if I can arrange to view it tomorrow evening, give me your email address and I will let you know what I find, will take my conzult along and try to borrow a compression tester if possible.

This car sold mate, so no need for a viewing.

Your offer of help is very much appreciated though, thanks very much
