Yes it will, Spigot bearing in the crank will want changing, and being a manual, the turbos will not spool up as quick as an auto. But its hardly noticeable!

Thanks for the reply, probably better explain myself a little more;

My car is a J spec auto, the engine has had it, I have the chance of an engine from a J spec manual from Stenorth that has head gasket failure, i wont be changing the box as I am sad and like autos!!

Hence the question as to wether it would be a strait swop over?

Dont forget bud....if your putting a manual engine with an auto box, make sure you've removed the manual spigot bearing and fitted the auto one to the end of the crank :D

 

Also you will need to fit the auto flywheel and starter too.

The driveplate for the auto, and starter will be on the other engine/car.
