Not fake it really is like that there i've seen it on TV the beach really is that close to the runway as its only an island, but it does have a sign warning beach goers of 'low flying aircraft and jet blasts can cause physical injury!' Big deal lol

where is it? I want to go there. the video looked the closest. can you imagine the expresion on the cabin crews faces each time they land there?

Actually, if you guys like this stuff, you can get pretty close to planes taking off from Bristol airport. Not to that degree, but you can actually drive around to the end of the runway via back roads and watch as they fly directly overhead really close. Very loud. It's great!

Righto then. Meet at Si's place then off to the airport to soak up the fumes and noise. I used to go to Heathrow quite a lot and if you were lucky you could get behind the planes quite close as they took off. that was awsome. It might sound dead boring (and probably is) but its something to experiance if you havent already done so. :D Oh and if you take a notebook and pen you can even take down the numbers on them....... :nono: :slap: :D

Now those boys know what they are doing. I simply love the Red Arrows and a few years ago I went all over the place to watch them.

At southend airport you can as well, sometimes the big heavylift freight planes take off and land and thats a sight to see as the runway is quite short, you can also drive almost up to the Vulcan Bomber. I used to drive up to the flying club and watch all the millitery planes come in the day before the Southend Airshow thats good to watch them come in
