idle speed valve

how easy is this to take off and clean, usually a dip in some wd40 cleans them up inside right?????

 

also when i disconect the yellow connector wiith the engine runing should the engine revs change, as mine didnt, really want to get to the bottom of my rough running

 

also would this have something to do with the car nearlly stalling every time i pull away, i have to keep dipping the clutch or lurching forward with lots of revs
