Hi im Sarah too lol

The lights on these cars are as a rule pretty dire to be honest, i find myself having to use full beam on the motorway just to see where i am going.

Im pretty sure your light set up sounds about right!

Hi Sarah and Sarah!! lol

the lights are pants, best bet is to get a HID upgrade.. then you will realise that there is a road out there at night..lol best thing i have ever done.. ;)

hope this helps

you could try Danny at Dta for some Hid headlights.

Will dramatically improve your vision and are now £99 i believe.

The problem with the lights is probably dirt built up on the inside of the lenses. As for a passenger wing, post in the wanted section - AndyZ (supercarparts.co.uk) breaks 300ZXs and could probably help you out - as could a few others.

edit - HID helps - I have them myself. But if the lenses are dirty, they still won't be as good as they should be.

yep cleaning the lenses should be the first thing to do. i haven't got the HID kit yet but just cleaning the lenses helps a lot.

Luke @ Zcentre does them for £97 inc delivery, i got a set a couple of months ago and they are a great upgrade. And Hi by the way

Err I think she was asking about which lights should come on when - not just that the headlights were cr*p. I'd go out and take a look at the different switch positions / lights coming on just now but it is royally micturating down here.

doesn't sound right to me, tho'

Oh and if you want a good sprayer in Lincolnshire, try Gary Bellamy +44 (01529) 241474 Sleaford. Hope it's close to Cambridgeshire :D Wings - new from MJP Auto or the other Traders here in the Trader section. HTH - Gio.

front fogs should only be on when the front fog switch is set to on ,

first turn of light switch , side lights these in mine are in the front fog housing ( but kind of dull ) and side lights in headlight unit, on second turn of dial , it goes to dipped head lights side lighst go off in front fogs and dipped headlights come on , of full beam then the main head lights come on and dipped go off i think .........going for Bi xenon HID's this time home so i will have dipped and main on HID ..will post up some pics when its done so you can see the difference ..........and go green with envy

hi by the way

Steve

mines a j psec tt, lights come on as follows, first click, lights closest together in the bumper fairly dim, helps if you click the fog lamp switch that brightens them up abit, 2nd click the circular lights in the side of the head lamp cluster as well as the previous, then full beam the main lights in the cluster but those alone, others go out. the light in generall are rubbish on these cars, you could try cleaning the lenses but you'll have to take the headlamps out and spend time heating the glue up so they will come apart, but its worth doing, if only for cosmetic reasons. make sure they are aligned properly. After that get yourself a H.I.D. upgrade, not too pricey and well worth it. i have they same problem and i would hazzard a guess that everyone else that doesnt have the upgrade has to drive around with the full beam on in order to see where they are going.

Hi all thanks for that you have helped a lot. Its great to meet you all and i will try the upgrade out and see how i get on. Sarah

just make sure you get the right fitment type for the lights, think the j spec dipped beam, ie the circular jobbies are a h3 fitment, but dont quote me.
