Darz,

Can you be a little more specific?

Does it just not start, does it run and die, etc. etc.

You can do a simple ecu diag, as long as there is power to the ECU: http://www.ttzd.com/tech/diagnostictech.html

If you're not already a TT.net member just sign up - it's free.

Better you post in the Tech section if you need more help m8.

Hi Tim! Yes the car does run for a while then just dies. Strated it this morning just on the drive, idled for about 3-4mins then died.

dare one say it could be the dreaded ptu problem rearing its ugly head yet again

Prolly the PTU Darz:

Magic?? what do i do to it??? !!!!!

first of all you go to nelson garage and prepare yourself for a smack in the mouth at the price of them...if you can stand the wait courtesy nissan do the uprated and cheaper one but before you change it see if some friendly z owner in ure area will let you swap his for your supposed faulty one just to make sure it is the ptu for defo even though ure problem reeks of faulty ptu it might not be

Could also possibly be fuel pump controller, but if you can try Tooley's route and try another PTU before jumping head long into checking all the car's electrics.

Good luck

Tim

Darz, I have a call in the Bedforshire area this week if you want can bring a good Ptu and try it to confirm one way or another befor u buy a new one.
