My washer pump has given out for the windscreen washers.

Should i buy from nissan or are the any other options from other motot factors i should consider.

Can i do this myself (non experienced with car mechanics). Part no. and cost.

Also what oil should i have i'm having my 300 serviced for the first time since i bought it, any thing else i need to ask the garage to look out for (they've never done a 300 but have plenty of experience with Evo's)

Sorry for the boring stuff

I cant help with the washer pump, but as your car is a TT it definetly should be using full synthetic oil, to prolong the life of the turbo bearings. Mine uses castrol RS 10/50 without out any probs, but their are several brands to chose from.

Washer pump is not a common failure - second hand from breaker would be OK but check the main dealer cost. If it's common with other Nissan's then it shouldn't be too expensive.

However, I would think hard about taking the car to somewhere which hasn't done 300s before. It is a highly specialised car. If it's basic oil change then fine but more than that and I'd strongly recommend someone with experience. You may pay a bit more on hourly rate but familiarity with the car will mean an expert spends less time.

If you want a couple of recommendations in the South East then drop me an email. I would tell you on the forum but I get fed up with the comments when anyone recommends a garage because someone has always had a bad experience there.

Dave,

Do you have more than one name in your list of garages for Z work??

:O)

Actually I've got three ! One is good but very expensive, the other is great for servicing & basic repair. The other is the predictable one !
