I know - couldn't find a pic of the right era car :( Mine had chrome bumpers etc, and leaked like a sieve when it rained.. Still top fun for a first car.

 

Oh - did I mention it used to be a driving instructors car, and still had dual controls fitted. Always interesting when a passenger stretched their legs :rofl:

My first car was a black 1953 Ford Zephyr Six 'MDD 297' which I bought on my 21st birthday in 1960.

 

I was left just over £400 in a Great Uncle's will and blew it all on this car. I never regretted it and had the car for about five years, including a tour of Europe in 1962 with my best mate and our girlfriends (now our wives). Those were the days! :) :cool: ;)
