Just wondered if they affect the bulb warning panel on the dash, and if they are any good at all?

 

Also vaguely remember a thread on the brake light bulbs that flash when you touch the brakes but can't find it, can someone give me a pointer?

when you step on the brakes the warning light on the dash comes on telling you a bulb is out. i just removed the bulb

I have checked the link from the original post and it no longer works.

 

I have red LED bulbs in my rear lights but as I don't have the bulb check function I don't know wether it affects it.

Yep all red outer rings are tail & brake lights. + I know funky Si don't believe me but the brake light in my boot skin and my spoiler are LED.

 

No issuse, mmm I know I've too many brake lights, but no one has run into the back of this Zed.

 

You need to keep both circuits intact and put a resistor and voltage dropper on them to provent the warning bulb for the brakes.

a mate of mine wants to convert some spare rears i have to LED there will be over 700 leds when finished and with parts it will have cost me around 200 pounds ( given the lights i had anyway so are free ) it should look stunning and is at least a grand cheaper than clear quarters charge .......he has done some skyliner conversions allready i will try and post some pics .........anybody be interested in group buy :)

you just need to cut the warning circuit on the rear lights so the dash bulb doesnt come on

No need to cut anything, a load resistor will mimic the bulb so the dash won't see a bulb out.
