another 3 weeks now before me and my mate attack my Z and take the engine out. still trying to get used to all the Zed'isms and things i should do, here is what i am going to do so far

1 - Have tubs rebuit, inc 360 bearings and staggered oil seals

2 - replace all water and oild hoses at the back of the engine

3 - change cambelt whilst its out

does this sound ok or are there other things i should be doing?

i found small metal tubes in the vac line to the wastegates are these boost jets? should i leave em in there or take em out?

what about things like boost jets, controllers, vac guages? turbo timers? should i be doing any of this while its out.

any info appreciated

Replace the 2 small metal pipes behind the water pipes on the front of the engine.

I'd replace the water pump if it hasn't been done at 60K with the cambelt.

The pipes are dead cheap and a common failure and they come off anyway to do the cambelt.

You can get a 60K service kit from Z1 Motorsports I think which is a bit of a bargain, inc water pump, cambelt etc etc.

Sounds like you already have boost jets so might as well leave em in :)

Replace det sensor and associated loom!

Do turbo/plenum water bypass

Replace rear main seal
